Incubator

An incubator is a broad term that includes many different types of companies and/or specifies whose task it is to provide and support the development of start-ups. Incubators help start-up growth while controlling costs, providing a network of contacts and mentors, and sharing resources.

They will also typically invest a small amount of capital in start-ups for a certain percentage (mostly very small) of stakes.
